ABOUT

Growing up in the Westchester area I attended Fordham University for my undergraduate education and was a member of the club rugby team.  I decided to pursue my MA in Sports Communication & Media at Iona University.  Through this program I have gained a lot of experiences I hadn't before joining the program whether it be the Adobe Creative Cloud or being proficient working with a camera.  While in the program I started an internship with a small company called Media Squared.  Media Squared is contracted with YES Network (Yankees Entertainment and Sports Network) to produce three different shows on the network itself and the YES app.  The shows we produce are Yankees Magazine, Nets Magazine, and Off Field Fashion.  My role in this process has been editing three to five minute pieces that showcase activities around the Yankees and Nets organizations, positioning and assembling equipment, and determining optimal camera angles for shots. At Iona I gained experience filming live events for ESPN3.  I have had a lot of great experiences through my internship that I would have never imagined.  Although I am an avid sports fan all across the board, I am mostly a diehard Cincinnati Bengals fan!

Anthony Varvaro was a former MLB pitcher, police officer, and Staten Island resident who was sadly killed driving to a 9/11 memoriam.  The "Anthony Varvarro Sandlot Summer" baseball camp was started to keep his name alive and spread his love of baseball.  The entire piece is filmed, edited, and produced by me.

Since joining the Brooklyn Nets, forward Yuta Watanabe has been one of the league's best three-point shooters, this piece documents his basketball journey to this point.  I produced, edited, and filmed the interview with Watanabe, and wrote the interview questions.  The piece appeared on Nets Magazine.
